NCS provided preliminary design, final design, groundwater and reuse permitting services for the rehabilitation of this 0.2 MGD (initial) facility. The innovative treatment concept uses an integrated fixed film activated sludge (IFAS) process, along with anoxic and aeration tanks, and clarifiers. The new process replaces the existing sequential batch process. NCS Designed new headworks, IFAS basins, blowers, secondary clarifiers, intermediate pump station (with recycle to supply IFAS), recharge basins, yard piping, and all process piping.
This design project included a new “Pod” type manufactured sewage lift station with prefabricated concrete wet wells, a 500 gpm lift station, odor control, and ADEQ permitting activities for construction.
